Only problem? The pool is a little doggy sized pool for their yorkies and of course our little peanut. So no room for us big kids. Oh well.
Melrose loves the water and loved this pool. Really, to say she loved the water is an understatement. She was in full blown infatuation with the baby sized fun tub. My dad filled it with water and then my mom hand elivered 5 big buckets of hot water to make it the perfect temperature for the delicate little flower we call our daughter.
She went all natural in the water because nothing says fun like skinny dipping! Plus those swim diapers and swimming suits are a pain in the arse to get on and off. So, after loading up on about 3 gallons of sun screen and securing the sun hat, the little peanut was dipped in the water by grandpa.

The entire time she was in the pool she went cr-A-zy. Splashing and kicking and crawling and licking the yum yum water off of her fingers. It was pretty awesome. We had one set back when she tried to stand up and crawl out of the pool and did a face plant on the deck. The crying lasted about 30 seconds and began as a "ouch my face hurts" cry and turned into "why am I not in the pool right now" cry. Back in the water she went and it was like it never happened.
For this reason, she pretty much thinks my dad is the coolest. He has lots of fun things planned for her (and my mom too), but she is just really attached to my dad. It is so sweet. Things she likes to do with my dad: stare at him when his glasses are on, stare at him when he takes his glasses off, try to eat dog toys when he turns his head, do face plants on various surfaces in their house to keep him on his toes, eat his cellphone and fall asleep on his lap as he talks to her.

That monkey of yours is a diva in the pool! Adorable just doesn't cut it... :)
I still have yet to get my monster in her little tankini (not my purchase, but adorable just the same) and out in the sunshine to swim in the little blow up number we got her. Of course we would do that if it will ever stop raining around here!!!! lol...
PS - what was the verdict on your hair??????
Hair Verdict: I hate waiting to make a hair appointment so I just decided to say eff-it and do nothing. Pathetic, I know.
