Fun, sunny days.

I am pretty much begging Mother Nature to let Spring officially be here. I cannot take the cold one bit longer. Before children, I NEVER complained about the weather (a lie), but now with a little one I want (aka need) to be outside. I have gotten the worse case of cabin fever this winter and warm days, like today, make me vow I will one day move somewhere warm.

So today, on a most lovely day, we 'went into town' and typical of Chag Falls, there was plenty of stuff going on, people walking around and cone licking taking place. Apparently there is a new organization trying to make the roads safer to walk/bike on and so they had a big set up at the town hall with a theme referring to a chicken crossing the road...?

They had a whole set-up great for older kids with food, drink and games. Melrose, however, liked this part...


A man in a chicken costume. Awesome! He was walking up and down Main Street flapping his wings and kicking his legs out. He even gave the little one gift- she loved it!



I need more afternoons like this. Afternoons filled with chickens, smiling babies and WARM WEATHER!
