Is there an echo in here? Once again I have posted a photo a week early and will be reposting the image for this week's I Heart Faces challenge. But I didn't give a ton of detail about the image before, so this will give me a chance to tell you a little more about the picture.
This is a photo of my nephew Danny. Technically he is my great-nephew. Now I know, I am only a twenty-something, but because my husband is older then me and he happens to be the youngest of four, his nieces and nephews are in my age range... And thus I am a great-aunt to three totally cool kids. Since they are all three and under, this complicated equation is far beyond what they can comprehend, so I am just a plain ol' aunt to them. So my nephew Danny was in need of a babysitter on Thursday and I was happy to volunteer to watch him. He was so cute with Melrose. In the car they were both reaching across to hold hands. At the house he was showing her how to play with toys and she was just so pleased to sit there and watch him. She really loves watching older kids, especially her cousins, play. He would every once in a while say, "Wasssssup Melrose?" and she thought that was pretty funny. Danny gave her several kisses throughout the afternoon and held her hand during certain points of the day. It was very sweet.
This photo I got while they were playing in the living room. He was busy showing Melrose how 2 1/2 year old boys get down with toys.
KIDS ENTRY:

He is pretty much the cutest. Blue eyes, blonde hair- adorable. So far the family have seen four children born, three with blue eyes, one with green and all with blonde hair- AND only one set of the parents has light hair and eyes. The rest of us have brown hair and brown eyes. We must have some sort of mystery gene floating around giving these kids such fair features.
This next photo is of my two favorite boys, the hubby and our old Lab Kodiak. Poor Kodi is near the end of the line. He has some sort of skin condition and his fur is falling out, he has sores on his skin and itches all of the time. He is about the most loving and loyal puppy you could ever ask for. Because of pregnancy and parenthood, Dan barely ever gets to take Kodi for his favorite ride ever, but when they do go, they both love every minute of it.
