Family gatherings are always so eventful, especially when a certain someone's brother comes :::cough cough husband's brother:::: He was slightly better behaved, but as always let a few gems out during the course of several conversations. The two that I can remember is him calling my 6 month old nephew a hillbilly, or at least, a soon to be hillbilly. And, RIGHT after we finished eating dinner he was stomping around the kitchen irritated that the desserts were not laid out for him. My parents had to stop their conversation to get the desserts ready so he could eat and leave. Such a charmer.
At this point it is just comical. I don't even get irritated anymore because I realize he can't even help himself.
Either way, it was a great Easter. Melrose got to see and play with her cousins. She is infatuated by her younger (by two months) cousin. She claws at his face and giggles with delight every time she is around him. He smiles at her a little, but is mostly just scared of her I think. He always looks like he is trying to scoot backwards when she is feverishly trying to rip off his eyelids.
Melrose sported her knew bumGenius Baby Legs under a white dress.

I found a new fun activity to keep Melrose (a) busy and (b) contained.

This was one of her gifts from her great grandmother. She isn't too spoiled, right?
